Description of ProgramThe Victim Advocate Program
We are available to assist all victims of all types of crime. We are in Boundary County and work with
Counseling providers, emergency room staff, the County Prosecuting Attorneys, Boundary County
Probation and Parole. the Boundary County Sheriffs Office, Bonners Ferry Clty Police, and the City
Prosecuting Attorneys Office to give information to all victims as they Work their way through the legal
and court system.
The Victim Advocate Program provides support, information, education, and referral services to victims
and their immediate families, witnesses, and survivors. Additionally, our advocates are available to assist
with restitution calculations, applications to the Crime Victims’ Compensation Program, victim impact
statements, victim rights education, court escort for hearings, medical advocacy Including
accompaniment to sexual assault forensic exams and overall support. We also provide crisis advocacy
services for survivors of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault.
